Will these glasses fit comfortably under a helmet?
Yes – the Fusions Performance frame is low‑profile and the non‑slip grip pads keep the glasses snug against your face, even when you tighten a full‑face helmet. The precision‑shaped temples flex with movement, so they stay in place without pressing on the helmet padding. Most riders find they can wear them for long rides without discomfort.
How fast do the photochromic lenses change colour when I move from indoor to outdoor light?
The hybrid lenses are UV‑activated, so they begin to darken within a few seconds of exposure to sunlight and return to clear once you're back indoors. In bright daylight they reach their maximum tint in about 15-30 seconds, giving you seamless vision transition.
Are the lenses strong enough to protect me if a stone hits them at high speed?
Absolutely – the lenses are independently tested to meet the highest global safety standards for impact resistance. They are built from impact‑resistant polycarbonate that can withstand high‑velocity impacts typical of motorbike riding, cycling or mountain biking. You can rely on them for serious protection on the road.
What's the recommended way to clean and care for the hybrid lenses?
Use a soft, lint‑free microfiber cloth and a mild lens‑cleaning solution or warm water; avoid paper towels or abrasive cleaners that could scratch the coating. Store the glasses in the supplied HD hard case when not in use to protect the lenses from dust and impact. Regular cleaning will keep the photochromic performance and colour clarity at its best, and you'll enjoy using them as your favourite pair of safety glasses.
If the fit isn't right, can I return the glasses and get a refund?
Returns are easy - but must strictly adhere to this SafeStyle®️ manufacturer Warranty Policy.

Returns for exchanges may be made by sending your request to enquiries@safestyle.com.au within 14 days of receipt of shipment.

Items returned damaged or after 14 days since receipt of shipment - will not be accepted.

You are responsible for shipping including cost.
We recommend shipping via registered post with Australia Post.

All returns must be in original, 100% re-saleable condition including packaging and have all original paperwork along with receipt. Damaged or worn product cannot be returned.
Are Fusions Performance certified safety glasses?
Yes. Fusions Performance are certified to Australian and New Zealand (AS/NZS 1337.1) and US safety standards, so they're ready for the jobsite as well as the weekend. AS/NZS 1337.1 medium impact certification means the frame and lens are tested to withstand a 6mm steel ball at 45 m/s, plus optical clarity, coverage and durability requirements. You can download our certificate from the Certifications page on our website if your workplace needs proof. Please note: medium impact safety glasses aren't designed for chemical splash, welding or high-impact tasks that call for goggles or a face shield, so always check your site's PPE requirements.
What is the Hybrids lens best for, and when shouldn't I use it?
Hybrids is a UV-activated photochromic lens: it stays clear indoors and darkens to a tint when you step outside, so it's perfect if you move between indoor and outdoor work all day and don't want to swap glasses. It suits general, indoor and moderate outdoor use. For all-day full sun or glare off water, a polarised lens will cut more glare. Because it reacts to UV light, it won't darken much behind a car windscreen, and it takes a short time to clear again when you head back inside.
How are Fusions Performance different from regular Fusions?
Fusions Performance take our iconic Fusions shape and re-engineer it for performance. The high-strength TR XE frame is ultra-light and tough. HOLDFAST Performance Fit adds non-slip grip pads and precision-shaped, flexible temples that hold steady when you're moving and sit comfortably under helmets and headwear. They're certified to Australian, New Zealand and US standards and come with an HD hard case.
What are Fusions Performance made of, and will the lenses scratch or fog?
Fusions Performance have a high-strength TR XE frame, which is ultra-light, ultra-tough and engineered for impact strength and chemical resistance, with impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses hard-coated on both sides to resist scratches. Every pair comes with an HD hard case. No safety lens is scratch-proof, so rinse off dust and grit, then clean with lens cleaner and a microfibre cloth rather than your shirt, and store them in the supplied HD hard case. Lenses can fog when you move between temperatures, wear a mask or work up a sweat, and our Anti-Fog Spray helps keep them clear.
Can I wear these over my prescription glasses?
Fusions Performance aren't designed to fit over regular glasses. Stacking two pairs compromises fit, narrows your peripheral vision and makes fogging more likely. If you need vision correction, check out our Prescription range, where Fusions and Fusions XL frames are available with your prescription built into certified safety lenses.
What warranty do these come with?
These are covered against manufacturing defects for 30 days from the date of purchase. If SafeStyle confirms a fault, we'll replace the pair with the same product, or offer a credit or refund if it's unavailable. To claim, email enquiries@safestyle.com.au with your order number, a description of the fault and photos. The warranty doesn't cover scratches or damage from incorrect cleaning or storage (including storing them outside the supplied pouch), drops, heat damage, misuse, unauthorised modifications, or loss or theft. If you bought from a stockist or retailer, please make your claim through the store you purchased from. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Can I return or exchange them?
Yes. Returns and exchanges must be made within 14 days of receiving your order, and items must be unworn, in original 100% re-saleable condition and in their original packaging. Start your return through the Returns Portal on our website, where you can choose an exchange, store credit or a refund to your original payment method. Return shipping is free if you selected "Pay Now to Unlock Free Returns" or "Checkout+" at checkout; otherwise it's at your own cost. Refunds can take up to 14 business days to appear, depending on your bank. Damaged or worn items can't be returned.
