Will these sunglasses fit a standard adult face with a 45 mm bridge?
Yes, the Skylines Chocolate Frame is designed for a regular 45 % fit, which suits most adult face shapes. The double‑bridge design includes adjustable nose pads for a personalised feel. If you have a particularly narrow or wide bridge, you may want to try them on first.
How well do the side shields block glare from low‑angle sunlight?
The side shields are UV400‑rated and specifically engineered to block side‑angle sun glare. They reduce peripheral brightness by up to 90 %, making them ideal for driving at sunrise or sunset. You'll notice clearer contrast without the need to tilt your head.
What's the safest way to clean the lenses without ruining the oleophobic coating?
Use a clean, lint‑free microfibre cloth and a splash of lukewarm water or a mild lens‑cleaning solution. Gently wipe in a circular motion and avoid paper towels or abrasive cleaners, which can wear the coating. Store the glasses in the supplied case when not in use to keep the lenses pristine.
Is there a warranty and what does it cover?
All Skylines frames come with a 30-day manufacturer's warranty covering any defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty does not apply to accidental drops, scratches, or damage from misuse. If a problem arises, contact our support team for a replacement or repair.
Are Skylines certified safety glasses?
Yes. Skylines are independently certified to AS/NZS 1337.1, the Australian and New Zealand standard for occupational eye protection, at medium impact level. The frame and lens are tested to withstand a 6mm steel ball at 45 m/s, along with optical clarity, coverage and durability requirements, and the lenses block 99.9% of UV (UV400). So you get the classic aviator look with real worksite protection. If your workplace needs proof, you can download our certificate from the Certifications page on our website. Please note: medium impact safety glasses aren't designed for chemical splash, welding or high-impact tasks that call for goggles or a face shield, so always check your site's PPE requirements.
What is the brown polarised lens best for, and when shouldn't I use it?
The brown polarised lens cuts reflected glare like our grey polarised lens, but its warm brown tint boosts contrast and depth perception and keeps colours looking natural. It's a great everyday lens for driving, fishing and changing light, with full UV400 protection. Keep in mind that polarised lenses can make some LCD screens (phones, machinery displays and some car dashboards) look dark or patchy at certain angles. It's still a sunglass lens, so it's not suitable for night use or for working indoors.
Will Skylines fit me?
Skylines are inspired by the OG aviator era, with a double-bridge profile that adds strength and balance. They have a comfortable unisex fit that suits most adult head sizes, and a gently curved 6-base lens shape engineered for comfort and clear vision. If you'd prefer a different shape, try the rectangular Fusions or round Cruisers, and if you need a bigger frame, try Fusions XL or Primes. Frame measurements are in the sizing guide on this page.
What are Skylines made of, and will the lenses scratch or fog?
Despite the aviator look, Skylines have no metal parts. They have impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses in a tough, metal-free frame, protected by SafeStyle anti-scratch technology. No safety lens is scratch-proof, so rinse off dust and grit, then clean with lens cleaner and a microfibre cloth rather than your shirt, and store them in the supplied pouch or a hard case. Lenses can fog when you move between temperatures, wear a mask or work up a sweat, and our Anti-Fog Spray helps keep them clear.
Can I wear these over my prescription glasses?
Skylines aren't designed to fit over regular glasses. Stacking two pairs compromises fit, narrows your peripheral vision and makes fogging more likely. The better option is prescription Skylines: the same aviator frame with your prescription built into certified safety lenses. You'll find them in our Prescription range.
What warranty do these come with?
These are covered against manufacturing defects for 30 days from the date of purchase. If SafeStyle confirms a fault, we'll replace the pair with the same product, or offer a credit or refund if it's unavailable. To claim, email enquiries@safestyle.com.au with your order number, a description of the fault and photos. The warranty doesn't cover scratches or damage from incorrect cleaning or storage (including storing them outside the supplied pouch), drops, heat damage, misuse, unauthorised modifications, or loss or theft. If you bought from a stockist or retailer, please make your claim through the store you purchased from. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Can I return or exchange them?
Yes. Returns and exchanges must be made within 14 days of receiving your order, and items must be unworn, in original 100% re-saleable condition and in their original packaging. Start your return through the Returns Portal on our website, where you can choose an exchange, store credit or a refund to your original payment method. Return shipping is free if you selected "Pay Now to Unlock Free Returns" or "Checkout+" at checkout; otherwise it's at your own cost. Refunds can take up to 14 business days to appear, depending on your bank. Damaged or worn items can't be returned.
